Answers to some questions you might have about Proms on the Pitch. If you can't find an answer to your question here, please feel free to pop an email to hello@uckfieldproms.co.uk, but please note the email is monitored by volunteers and it may take us a little while to respond. 


Covid-19


We will always follow the current government guidance in relation to Covid-19. The event is outdoors and there is plenty of space. If we are forced to cancel or postpone the event, we will offer a refund to all customers. 


Things you can and can't bring...


Picnics

Yes. please feel free to bring your own food and drink. But you can support the event and the wonderful organisations involved by buying drinks from the well stocked and very reasonable bar. There will also be coffee, cakes and delicious food stalls.


Chairs and rugs

Absolutely fine. There's plenty of space for everyone, but please be mindful of people behind you if you're setting up chairs.


Dogs

Assistance dogs and well behaved dogs are allowed, but must be kept on leads at all times. And please be aware that there is amplified music and fireworks, so it may not be a suitable for many dogs.


Accessibility


Free tickets for carers

We offer a free ticket scheme for carers or personal assistants. You are eligible for a free carer ticket if you are entitled to Disability Living Allowance (no specific rate required), are in receipt of Personal Independence Payments, have a registered assistance dog or are registered severely sight impaired. If you would like to take advantage of the free carer ticket offer, please book your own tickets in the normal way via the tickets page, and then contact us at hello@uckfieldproms.co.uk. You will need your ticket number, proof of DLA or that you are registered severely sight impaired, plus the name and contact details of your carer. 


Accessible Parking

A section of the car park closest to event field is reserved for blue badge holders. There is no need to book these spaces in advance, just make the car park stewards aware as you arrive on site and have your blue badge clearly displayed. They will direct you to the reserved accessible parking area.


Facilities

The rugby club pitch is flat grass, and providing it is dry, is fine to use accessibility scooters on. It is just few metres walk from the car park to the main event field. Toilets in the clubhouse are ambulant disabled accessible. 



Other things...


Car parking

Car parking is completely free. There is plenty of space on the pitches and you will be directed where to park when you arrive. As a courtesy to our neighbours, please do not park on the residential roads around the rugby club.
